Windows + D

There are a few options to minimize screens and windows on your Windows Computers. Sometimes windows are open all over the place. As a result, my workflow gets out of hand. To the point if i need to quickly remove distractions this will minimize everything. When you hit the shortcut again, it brings up all the windows to the exact location again.

Windows + E

I use this command to quickly pull the Windows File Explorer. This definitely saves time when searching for files on your computer. also nice to quickly pull multiple windows

This is a shortcut that is nice for when adjusting the display settings. It will pull a vertical menu of deciding how you want an external monitor to display. It doesn’t help with adjusting screen orientation, deciding main display, or resolution, but it can quickly get a multiple screen setup working.

Windows + L

This will lock your computer. Short, Sweet, to the point. No need to click any menus, just simply lock the computer and when it wakes, you will have to log back in. Good to know in work environments to where it’s a security policy to make sure your computer is locked when not attended.

Windows + I

This will open the Settings home menu. No need to open Windows Start Menu and click the cog icon on the bottom left. Again, very simple. It saves clicks

Windows + Arrow Keys

This comes in handy for quickly setting up the necessary windows you need open on the Desktop. You can quickly move windows in half of the screen vertically or horizontally or take full screen. This totally saves time rather than manually click-and-dragging the
